week 7 activities

1:30 scale paper fold model

collecting data and drawing it on the paper with the scale of 1:30, make sure they are connected together as a foldable model

cut the geometry off following the drawing lines

start to fold and assemble

Done!!!
(could not find any double sided sticky tape left so i have to use single sided instead...)

Now I am planning to add in two pieces of cardboard representing same size in its corresponding ratio then compare them in the end

in the 1:20 model

In the 1:30 model

Comparing different scale models

create the three dimensional model using loft and shell components

New Model that represent the natural source of light

Here is the simple model that i create in order to represent the light source. It is capable to simulate the variables such as angles of light, mirror reflections, sizes of window and materials...

Variation 1 and 2: angles of the light (time)/ sizes of the window

Within this part, i have used the touch of my second phone to represent the sunlight. Different angles of incidence are created to simulate different periods of time. Also another piece of cardboard involves  smaller holes are applied and covered on the top while I am repeating these process for the second time. It is helping me to show the differences caused by the sizes of window.

Group1: Large size window

Group2: Small size window

Variation 3: Material

One of the "windows" is covered by a layer of tracing paper, which is assisting me to figure out the effects have made by having multiple types of materials.

Variation 4: Mirror reflections

During this experiment, i have placed a small piece of foil paper on the base of the model in order to highlight and simulate the influences have made by mirrors to the track of light source.
